Greeter

Responsibilities

·         Attend/complete required training (approx. 25-40 hours)

·         Welcome clients to VITA site

·         Ensure client qualifies for VITA assistance

·         Provides clients with intake forms to complete and assist with                     completion as necessary

·         Ensure clients have all required identification

·         Ensure clients have necessary tax documents

·         Make copies of all documents as required by VITA/IRS

·         Informs clients about other services available through                                 The BEST Initiative and PCCA

·         Manages flow of taxpayers

·         Confirm client appointments

·         Maintain confidentiality of all client information


Qualifications

·            Attend and complete the following training:

o   Tax preparation/law

o   TaxWise software

o   Orientation

·            Intermediate or Advanced IRS certification

·            Strong computer skills

·            Strong interpersonal and communication skills

·            Strong organizational skills

·            Attention to detail

·            Must  pass criminal background check

·            Enjoy helping others

·            Ability to commit 4 hours per week during tax season (January – April)
